March is truly madness at the Somervell County Expo Center this March, hosting multiple events, back to back. Beginning with the large Jurassic Classic Barrel Race, PRCA Rodeo, North Texas Longhorn Show, The "World Famous" Lipizzaner Stallions Thursday March 11, Texas Reigning Horse Show, Red Angus Banquet, Southwest Miniature Horseshow, multiple private events and of course the anticipated Gator 911 presented by the Glen Rose Chamber of Commerce Saturday March 13, 10:30 am & 4:00 pm.
Mike Dooley, Facility Director anticipates great crowds, great events and happy patrons. Expo welcomes 54th Annual Youth Fair.... (11:01 AM, 02/23/2010)
54th Annual Somervell County Youth Fair, Thursday, January 14-16, 2010 to be held at the Somervell County Expo Center...The event is open to the public. The community is encouraged to come and enjoy the show while supporting area youth. The annual luncheon is scheduled for 11:30am, Saturday and is held in the Exhibit Hall at the Expo Center. Lunch is free for all registered buyers at the auction.
After the luncheon, the Auctions begin at 12:30pm with the Food Auction and followed by the Livestock Premium Sale at 2:00pm. This annual event supports youngsters who have spent countless hours on their projects, teaching them a lifetime of qualities focused on responsibility and dedication.
