MIDLAND COUNTY MULTIPURPOSE CENTER Midland County's new arena complex, nicknamed "The Horseshoe," opened in March 4 of 2006. The aptly named center is the first phase of a larger complex designed for the same site and scheduled for completion at a future date. www.midlandhorseshoe.com On Wednesday, September 21st, the management contract was awarded to Dooley Management Company (DMC) of Glen Rose, Texas. Dooley Management is a public event facility management company with 28 Its subsidiary company, Quik-Fold Stalls, is a horse stall rental company which does business in Texas and the adjoining states. Midland's Horseshoe will host large equestrian activities along with other animal shows, concerts, trade shows and other public events of interest to all living in the West Texas area. Its air conditioned Main Arena will host concerts of 5000 plus, banquets of up to 2000 and horse shows for several hundred contestants.

The arena complex also has an animal barn with 188 horse stalls and an education building to be used for meetings, banquets and trade shows. This configuration when combined with portable horse stalls from Dooley Management will give the Horseshoe the ability to host horse shows needing over 300 horse stalls and two full size riding arenas.
